Thanks for  popping by  – you are sure to find something of interest from my many years as a full-time photographer, genuinely based in Oakham, Rutland, in which I have photographed over 700 weddings, and thousands of other assignments.

The most important lesson  I have learned it is that all weddings are different – so I am happy to tailor my services to suit your individual needs – whether that be coverage from 10 am till 10 pm at three locations if that is your wish – or even a simple hourly rate for photography at micro weddings, register office, or elopement at one venue –  and everything in between for example a half-day at two locations. It really is your day, not mine, so it is not for me or anyone else to dictate  a package of so-many-hours that you may not need, but I am always happy to offer advice and guidance based on all my experience.

How do I like to shoot? Well my  personal style of photography is relaxed – informal – contemporary, sometimes described as documentary, but always ensuring all key moments are captured.  I often refer to this as “prompted not posed”, so in addition to all the candid moments that I capture without you even knowing, I may ask you to walk hand-in-hand while laughing and joking with each other (rather than staring at a camera with a forced grin!).  This approach ensures that we capture all the best of the day without me actually taking over your day – as far as possible I should be “invisible”  – but still have the confidence  to make things happen when they need to.
