As a genuinely Rutland based wedding photographer I am often asked to supply photography at Greetham Valley.
For today’s post I am looking back at a set of wedding photographs for Nicola and Robin – a lovely couple who were an absolute joy to work with.
Greetham Valley is a great venue for your wedding – both because of the great service you can expect and also the backgrounds we can use for your wedding photography. The example above is taken from the balcony looking down towards one of the lakes at Greetham Valley.
One of the great features at Greetham is the ability to “borrow” an electric golf buggy and take a trip down to the lakes for just a few minutes of quiet before returning to the guests. This is a great opportunity to relax for a few minutes after the ceremony and there are some lovely backdrops.
For a full day wedding collection I normally start with the bride getting ready and continue through to the first dance plus about twenty minutes.
I am often asked on the day why I am photographing some details rather than people. There are two answers to this – firstly the details are often lost in time as memories fade and I love to make a record for the couple to look back on. The second is for acting as a background when designing wedding albums or making a montage of images. As it happens this one stands on its own:
Of course these are just a handful of around 300 images normally supplied from a full day wedding collection. I am always happy to “talk wedding” even if it is just to talk through a few ideas and see what works best. Why not click on the email link at the top of each page or use the form on the contact page? You have nothing to lose and may just realise you have found the wedding photographer you were looking for!
